Howick Baptist Healthcare is a member of Healthcare Providers New Zealand and the New Zealand Christian Council of Social Services. We are members of QPS best practice benchmarking which compares us with the best of Australian and New Zealand facillities.

The Hospital has 60 beds and there are another 20 beds in Bethel Wing which is attached to the Rest Home. Hospital patients are nursed by our team of professional, well qualified and dedicated health professionals.

Doctors visit daily and our registered nurses, caregivers and allied health professionals are all specialists in the holistic care of the older person and terminally ill patient.

Individual multidisciplinary service plans are developed with the resident and family, and quality care is provided to optimum standards. Patients preferences are identified with cultural and spiritual considerations included in the plan.

We were the first facility to be accredited with Quality Health New Zealand and are committed to continuous quality improvement.

A modern well equipped Physiotherapy department staffed by fully trained physiotherapists helps monitor and maintain the physical health of residents and our Occupational Therapy department ensures important social interaction as well as the chance to follow individual interests.
