Registered Nurse – full time position

HBH Group, Howick, Auckland

HBH Group is looking to employ additional full-time nurses to join our fantastic clinical support team. We provide outstanding quality of service in our modern aged care hospital and rest homes. From time to time, you will have the opportunity to assist at our other facilities to gain group wide experience.

Our modern and compassionate leadership team support and care for our employees just as much as they do for our wonderful residents. We’re not too big, nor are we small. With over 130 residents and 300 staff in the group, you will get to know our residents well. If you prefer working in a family centric culture, we’re waiting to hear from you!

Key tasks

  • Providing direct nursing assistance for aged care residents
  • Complying with Ministry of Health and HBH quality and compliance requirements
  • Completing and advising on care plans and InterRAI assessments (InterRAI training is provided)
  • Attending and contributing to team meetings and suggestions for improvements
  • Completing training and professional development plans
  • Completing resident care summaries and handover sheets to ensure accurate and continuous care
  • Family and resident liaison
  • Delivering high quality service aligned to HBH policies wellbeing and Eden principles
  • Accurate medication administration and recording
  • Referring equipment maintenance needs; In person nursing assistance reflecting our continuous improvement initiatives.

RN qualifications: to meet the NZ Nursing Council requirements for a Registered Nurse.

Employment is full time for a minimum 40 hours p/week at our Howick and possibly other HBH Group sites in Howick and Mt Roskill. Shifts span 24-hour service in three 8-hour patterns – morning, afternoon and over-night shifts. We offer experienced Team Leaders and Clinical Managers to support you, your work, training and professional development.

We work with key values of respect, trust and integrity when delivering care to the elderly and working as a collaborative team. Our team demonstrate a welcoming calm style, great family type culture and they are genuinely interested to assist and empower residents and their loved ones.

RN remuneration: from $36-43 per hour plus allowances.

Our package includes long service leave, complimentary morning and afternoon tea, discounted meals, modern uniforms, 24-hour security and of course the chance to serve our residents.

We will consider visa assistance if required. HBH Group (Howick Baptist Healthcare) has received Accredited Employer Accreditation with Immigration New Zealand.
