As a purpose-led organisation, HBH offers a wide range of high-quality care that supports overall wellbeing. This includes rest home, respite and hospital level care in two warm, welcoming and vibrant Care Homes – Howick Views in the heart of Howick and Gulf Views in Cockle Bay.

Support while living independently

Prefer to remain in your own home as you age? Virtual Village East is a unique social and support network that helps local seniors stay active, connected and supported. Take part in activities and outings, discover new skills, make new friends and stay informed with the latest in ageing well.

Support while caring for a loved one

Looking after your partner or an older relative at home? Our Day Programme offers a supportive environment where seniors can enjoy social interaction, engaging activities and cognitive stimulation six days a week. If you need a longer break, we also offer respite care for families and caregivers.

Guided by the Eden Alternative across our Care Communities, our team is fully equipped to deliver the highest standard of care in a setting that feels like home. Our expertise allows us to adapt care as needs change, ensuring your loved one always receives the right support at the right time.

Our community support services

Established in 2018 by HBH Group, Virtual Village East is a local network of friendship and support for older adults in East Auckland. Guided by our Five Pillars of Ageing Well, our ‘Village’ offers a range of activities, seminars and events that help seniors stay active, connected and informed, supporting them to live independently for longer.

Located within Howick Views, our Day Programme is for older adults who live at home and would benefit from additional social interaction, cognitive stimulation and daytime support. Available up to 6 days a week, this popular programme offers an active, supportive and caring environment, with morning and afternoon tea. We also provide a transport service for pick-up and drop-off, Monday to Friday.

The only one of its kind in East Auckland, our Day Programme promotes wellbeing and a strong sense of community, while providing some daily ‘time out’ for families and caregivers.
