The right care at the right time
We provide compassionate, high-quality care that supports older people to enjoy dignity, comfort and fullness of life, to the best of their ability
Care that goes above and beyond
Whether your loved one needs daily assistance or more complex clinical support, we’re committed to delivering high-quality, individual care to every resident, including:
Customised care plans – Our care respects individual needs and addresses all aspects of wellbeing. From daily assistance to managing medication, our skilled team takes care of every detail.
Active community life – We provide a range of engaging activities to keep residents connected and involved, including creative workshops, social events and special celebrations.
Eden Alternative philosophy – HBH is one of two fully registered Eden Alternative aged care homes in Auckland, creating a community where every day is different, and life is truly celebrated.
Caring for spiritual wellbeing – Regular church services and chaplaincy support are available for people of all faiths.
A supportive environment – With inviting living spaces, dedicated staff and peaceful gardens, you can enjoy the security, comfort and dignity you deserve.
Care that extends to families – We create care partnerships with residents and their families to ensure our residents have every opportunity for connection and support.
Caring for complex needs – Our ageing population means that many older people require more complex clinical care. Our team is trained in delivering complex and palliative care with skill and compassion.
Respite care – Our respite care gives families or caregivers a much-needed break and ensures loved ones receive a high standard of care. HBH is the only aged care facility in the area offering advanced bookings for respite care.
Howick Views – in the heart of Howick
Howick Views delivers innovative, specialist care that responds to the evolving needs of older adults. We provide rest home, hospital, respite and end-of-life care, all guided by the Eden Alternative approach to delivering proactive, personalised care and creating a true home.
Nestled in the heart of Howick, our flagship aged care home offers 129 beds plus two dedicated respite rooms across across five distinct communities – Berwick, Inchinnan, Minerva, Sale and Seymour – named after the historic ships that brought early settlers to New Zealand. Many of our rooms are dual purpose, allowing residents to remain in the same room as their care needs change.
As part of our mission to offer high-quality care regardless of circumstances, many of our rooms are standard. This helps us ensure affordable care is available to all seniors who need it.
