HBH residents, families and caregivers are warmly invited to attend our informative Relatively Speaking seminars.

This monthly series offers a wide range of practical advice, fresh insights and real conversations about caring for seniors. It brings together experts, whānau, caregivers and community members to learn from each other and strengthen wellbeing. HBH staff are also encouraged to attend when relevant, helping build an inclusive, caring environment for all.

Each session ends with light refreshments – a chance to meet other residents and families, share experiences and connect with others walking a similar path.

8 September - Planning with Confidence: Wills, Estates and EPOAs

Planning for the future can give you and your family greater clarity and peace of mind. In this Relatively Speaking session, Alistair van Schalkwyk from ASCO Legal will explain the essentials of wills, estate planning and Enduring Powers of Attorney, including what each involves and why they matter.

The session will suit residents, families, caregivers and anyone who wants to better understand their future legal arrangements. Alistair will also discuss the importance of keeping your wishes and arrangements up to date, with practical information to help you plan with confidence.
