Howick Views delivers innovative, quality care that adapts to the changing needs of vulnerable older adults. We offer rest home, hospital & respite care, all guided by our Eden Alternative approach to creating a true home.

Howick Views Rest Home and Hospital offers 131 beds across five distinct communities – Berwick, Inchinnan, Minerva, Sale and Seymour – each named after the historic ships that brought early settlers to New Zealand. We deliver rest home, hospital, respite, and palliative care, providing quality, innovative services that respond to the changing needs of vulnerable older people. As part of our mission to offer care regardless of circumstances, we also have standard rooms available, ensuring affordable homes for all.

Howick Views as part of HBH Senior Living is managed by HBH Group. It also houses our Group Office and Day Programme, with Howick Views Apartments located adjacent.

Our team is committed to delivering personalised care that empowers both residents and staff, underpinned by our full accreditation as an Eden Alternative home.

We believe that care environments should feel like home, a place where older people enjoy comfort, dignity, and ongoing growth, where happiness is nurtured and the sharing of care is encouraged, rather than institutions where decline is inevitable. In each household, staff and residents learn together, continually advancing our Eden journey.

In Berwick, our integrated approach means residents can remain in the same room as their care needs evolve from rest home support to hospital-level services, while our other communities focus on specialised hospital care. We hold a four-year certification from Health New Zealand Te Whatu Ora, the highest standard available, a mark of our commitment to best practice.

Residents enjoy a wide range of amenities and activities designed to enhance daily living. These include weekly church services and chaplaincy support, an onsite shop, library trolley, weekly Happy Hour, hairdressing services, and daily social events. Our mini-bus provides organised outings to local attractions, while volunteers add extra support and companionship.
