COVID-19 Update: HBH Hospital and Rest home are in lockdown

6 August, 2022

NOTICE OF LOCKDOWN AT HBH HOSPITAL & REST HOME COMMUNITIES

Further to last nights’ communication, which was sent out to our Rest Home families only in regards to a positive Covid case being identified in the Rest Home, we have now had several more cases confirmed, both in our Rest Home and Hospital communities. This was identified after completing RAT testing on all residents today, Saturday 6 August 2022.

As a result of this, we have decided to lock down our Rest Home and Hospital communities with immediate effect.

The lockdown will initially be in place for three days, enabling us to prevent further cross infection and to determine the extent of the spread.

Lockdown means: No visitors, unless via prior approval, for comfort or supports cares.

We will review the visiting status on Tuesday 9th August , and advise you of any changes .

Please contact your RN Team Leader in the first instance for any updates on the health and wellbeing of your family member

We fully appreciate the importance of connecting residents with their families, friends and the “outside world”, but our priority has always been to keep our residents safe.

Thank you for your support and co-operation.

Keep well and stay safe

Kind regards

Bonnie Robinson – CEO
