COVID-19 Update: Inchinnan and Minerva Communities at HBH locked down effective immediately – other communities are open for visiting for now

2 June, 2022

Dear family, friends and relatives of our residents

PLEASE NOTE: Inchinnan and Minerva Communities at HBH Locked Down effective immediately – other communities open for visiting for now

Unfortunately tonight we have discovered through RAT testing that we have 1 Covid case in the Inchinnan and Minerva areas of HBH. We are therefore locking down these two areas immediately. This will initially be for 3 days until we can ascertain whether there are any other cases and take advice from the DHB.

This means NO visiting to any residents in Inchinnan or Minerva, and no outings for residents from these areas, apart from urgent medical appointments.

For the other communities – Sale, Seymour and the Rest Home – remain open for visiting and resident outings, for now.

Visitors to Sale, Seymour and Rest Home, please note different entrances for next 3 days or while Inchinnan and Minerva in lockdown

  • Sale and Seymour communities – please use the basement carpark entrance.
  • Rest Home – please use the rest home entrance. You might wish to park in the open air car park adjacent to the rest home.

You will still need to RAT test, log in, etc. Mask wearing is ESSENTIAL.

As we have only found out about this case tonight, it will take us a few hours on Friday morning to prepare the new entrances.

Please be patient and courteous to staff if you have to wait at the door. Everyone is doing the best they can.

We are disappointed to have to partially lockdown so soon after freeing up our visiting, but unfortunately this is how it goes with COVID. If we get no more cases we can hopefully open up Inchinnan and Minerva within a few days.

Thanks in advance for your kindness and understanding.

Regards
