COVID-19 Update: Positive case amongst staff

Friday, 25 February 2022

Dear Family and Friends

We are writing to inform you that we have a positive case of Covid-19 amongst our staff.

This staff member last worked a shift here on Monday 21st Feb, and then was isolating because they were a close contact. They tested positive last night.

The risk of this person having passed on the virus is low due to them following all the corrected procedures, such as mask wearing at all times, and isolating when they knew they were a close contact. However, we are taking an abundance of caution and RAT testing all residents and staff in the following communities: Sale, Inchinnan, Minerva.

If any resident is positive, family will be immediately notified.

I am sorry but we do not have time to notify every family of a negative result. Be assured that if the test is positive, you will be informed.

As we have previously mentioned, if a resident does test positive then we will be locking down that particular community until we can do further testing to assess any further spread. Any lockdown may have to take place immediately, so please be understanding if you arrive for a visit and are unable to gain access. We will keep lockdowns as short as is safely possible.

For now, visiting has been suspended in the Sale community and continues for the other communities as per our booking system. However, Omicron is an ever-changing situation so please be prepared for things to change rapidly. For people visiting please continue to use the hospital entrance.

We thank you for your consideration and patience. We also thank you for following the visiting safety rules.

Kind regards
