COVID-19 Update: 21 Sept 2020

Level 2 at HBH

As you will have heard, the Government announced that Auckland will move from Level 2.5 to Level 2 from midnight Wednesday.

Residential Care facilities are always required to operate at a higher restriction level than the general public due to how vulnerable our residents are.

For HBH this means that the move to Level 2 looks like this:

  1. Restricted Visiting remains: Our visiting system remains as is for the next 14 days, or until we get advice from the Ministry of Health/DHB to make a change. Thank you for your continued patience.
  2. Day Club – is likely to open with greater numbers able to attend from Monday. There will be  health checks and some further restrictions, including continued mask wearing. Lorraine Le Roux, the Day Club Team leader will be in touch to let you know the details.
  3. Respite care: We are assessing how this can be managed under level 2. If you are booked Jenny Moore our Social Worker will be in touch to confirm arrangements.
  4. Visiting at 139 on Union – remains as currently. Visitors must adhere to all safety requirements including masking in the corridors, scanning in via the QR code and recording their visit. Activities will still require some social distancing.

We apologise in advance if our advice and processes changes as we received new information. We are nearly at Level 1 again. If we all do our bit, stick to the rules, and have patience and kindness, we will get out the other side of this outbreak safe and well.

Yours sincerely
